Kaylee Dillashaw

Position: Forest Health Project Coordinator

A 6th generation resident of rural Calaveras County, Kaylee comes from a long line of local family history in timber and forestry. Growing up with the Sierra Nevada's as her backyard, she has seen firsthand how effective management of natural resources benefits the land, wildlife, and community.  After earning a Master’s in Public Health with an emphasis in Community Health from San Jose State University, Kaylee completed the Sierra Forest Entrepreneurs Program at the Sierra Institute for Community and Environment. Working as an environmental health and wildfire prevention grant writer has contributed to her love for the forest and to her passion for preserving it. She serves her community through wildfire prevention efforts and forest management advocacy, securing over $5.5 million for such projects since 2022. In addition to her passion for community and environmental health, Kaylee enjoys history, skiing, traveling, and the local wine scene.
